So the Christmas decorations are up and the year is nearly over. 2019 has flown by! It has been the biggest year yet for Willow & Blossom and I am so proud of what I have achieved this year!
Although I have been a florist for 10 years, this is the first year I have been fully self employed, just working on my own business and freelancing for other amazing florists. And wow it has a been a busy year! I have loved every minute of it and have really been able to put my all into the business which feels great.
So what has happened this year...
March 2019 was when I took on my new studio space, on a farm just up the road from where I live in Bedfordshire. It has been so amazing to have such a large space to work from, plenty of room for all the flowers and also a great space to meet couples for consultations. I held an open day in April of this year where I met lots of lovely couples to discuss their wedding plans. We had a small select group of other wedding suppliers also in attendance and it was a great event. Watch this space for details on 2020's open day!

I was lucky enough to work on so many lovely weddings with so many lovely couples this year. I worked at some amazing new venues too which was great. One venue in particular that was a huge highlight for me was the incredible, Aynhoe Park. It had been on my bucket list for a while so I was super excited when I got the job. The venue definitely lived up to expectations. It is such a dreamy venue.

This year I have also had the opportunity to be part of some styled shoots with a fantastic selection of local wedding suppliers. It always great to get together and showcase our work. The shoots have been featured on some fab blogs too which is amazing.

A fantastic achievement that i'm also very excited to share with those of you who haven't already heard is that, I won 2 awards at this years Four Counties Wedding Awards! I was winner in the Florist category and Highly Commended in the Newcomer category. It was a bit of a shock, but I am so proud to have won these awards. Thanks so much for all the support i've had from my previous couples, you are all amazing.
