One thing I love to do when i'm not working on Weddings, is to work on creative projects with fellow wedding suppliers.
This beauty has to be one of my favourite styled shoots so far. The Barns at Alswick was the luxury barn venue chosen for the shoot. It's light & airy spaces worked perfectly for Nikki's style of photography.
The main florals for the shoot were the asymmetric flower columns, which we used to create a ceremony backdrop and focal point for the couple portraits. Sweet smelling o’hara roses, subtle pink bombastic spray roses, ranunculus, anemones, ammi and delphiniums all came together to create an elegant look and feel.
Its definitely worth thinking about a larger installation for your wedding, they are very versatile and can really transform a space. Floral arches & flower columns look great for when you say your I do's and also add something extra for photos later in the day, whether you use the space as a photo area for your guests, or you have your top table positioned in front of the flowers.
To compliment the larger arrangements we opted for a low compote vase arrangement as our table centrepiece. The perfect height not to obstruct anyone's view across the table and still big enough to create an impact. These work great on round tables or on a long trestle table.
The bouquet for the shoot was one of my favourites. I love bouquets with lots of textures so I used a selection of different foliages including; a mix of eucalpytus varieties and soft whispy asparagus fern. To finish off the look I added trailing silk ribbons for an added bit of movement! For the Groom's buttonhole we kept it nice and simple with a single white Ranunculus, a favourite flower of mine!
